I recently did an editorial illustration to accompany an article for One Thing I Know. The Article by Mark Terry-Lush of Renegade was about Opening a Second Office.

I’ve been drawing a lot of goats recently. This is a small spot illustration I did for a section in a festival program about growing your own veg.

I figured it was time for another seasonal eclectic playlist. Again, hope you enjoy the music and the illustration I made to accompany it. Also Available as a YouTube playlist if you don’t have Spotify: http://ly1.fr/_gXPSA

With autumn feeling like it’s coming to an end, I figured it was time for another quarterly/end of season eclectic playlist. Again, hope you enjoy the music and the illustration I made to accompany it.

Does the forced perspective for the new iPhone 5 lead image insight monolithic connotations?
Since the perspective is hugely distorted from that of the normal focal length, it gives the impression that the phone is on a much larger scale. (Go on, hold your phone right up close to your eyes… I did).  In the image above the angle of the top of the iPhone parallels that of the top of the monolith from the well known 2001: A Space Odyssey - dawning of man scene. Perhaps Apple were considering similar contextual outcomes to Kubrick when making this image, or perhaps it’s just a coincidence. However, the monolith from 2001 inspires or encourages the technological progress and development of mankind. I would not be surprised if this was considered, since Apple put a lot of thought (and persuasive material) into almost everything they do.

It’s such a lovely evening here in Bristol. With the late summer sun and hazy blue sky for inspiration, I put together this playlist. Hope you enjoy the music and the illustration I made to accompany it.

It’s September (and apple season in England). I have spent the last few weeks working on a super top secret fruit adventure project, and it’s almost ready… so be sure to come back soon, and all will be revealed!
